ヲタ芸は、日本のアニメ文化から生まれた、とてもエネルギッシュな「光のダンスアート」です。
暗闇の中で、両手にカラフルな光る棒（サイリウム）を持ち
アニメソングなどの速い音楽に合わせて、忍者のように素早く激しく腕を振ります。
 
もともとはアイドルのコンサートでファンが行う応援スタイルでしたが
今ではYouTubeなどを通じて、世界中で愛される新しいダンススポーツへと進化しました。

“Otagei” — A High-Energy Light Dance from Japan! Otagei is a super energetic
“light dance art” born from Japanese anime culture.
In the dark, dancers hold colorful glow sticks in both hands
and move their arms as fast and sharp as a Ninja to upbeat anime songs.
 
While it started as a way for fans to cheer at idol concerts,
it has now evolved into a popu lar dance sport loved worldwide on YouTube.
